Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Lead Director to join our team at CVS Health. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the management reporting process and consolidating and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for the HCB segment.

In this role, you will own the creation of executive-level decks, including the CFO Deck, President's Deck, and Aetna and CVS Monthly Operating/Business Review financial materials. You will collaborate with Senior Leadership, including the HCB President, HCB CFO, segment presidents, and chiefs of staff, as well as lead cross-functional teams across various constituents, including business finance, actuarial, and expense management.

You will be expected to multitask and prioritize multiple activities and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, working independently within a guidance framework defined by management. This includes financial reporting and analysis at both regular and ad-hoc frequencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Health Care Benefits segment leadership to understand and message key drivers of actual financial results vs. prior periods and vs. budget/forecast.
  • Oversee the use of data analytics tools, including Alteryx and Tableau, to further financial analysis, enhance reporting, and provide different cuts of data that offer a more illustrative view of results.
  • Exhibit technical knowledge of financial systems, including Hyperion and Oracle.
  • Leverage strong financial modeling skills, including Excel and advanced functions like Macros and Index Match.
  • Assist in the development of ad-hoc analyses and impactful, actionable financial recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Foster a high-performing team that is clear on priorities and accountabilities, aligned on deliverables and key milestones/timelines, and produce high-quality results.
  • Display strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Design and execute process improvements.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of progressive finance, consulting, healthcare, or other aligned experience.
  • At least 3 years of managing cross-functional matrixed partners and stakeholders.
  • At least 3 years of overseeing and executing multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to build trust across business partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Health insurance industry work experience.
  • Hyperion experience a plus.
  • Growth mindset.
Education

Bachelor's Degree required; equivalent work experience may substitute.

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000.00 - $231,540.00, as well as a bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program, and an award target in the company's equity award program.
