Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at AdaptHealth LLC. As a Respiratory Therapist Vent Clinician, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in need of ventilator support. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes and providing exceptional care in alternate sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to patients in accordance with AdaptHealth's policies and procedures.
  • Utilize various sources of information to stay up-to-date on respiratory care best practices.
  • Document patient care activities, interventions, and communication with team members, physicians, and referral sources.
  • Collaborate with peers and other team members to resolve issues and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and caregivers.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and adapt to changes in the field.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Perform clinical assessments and provide recommendations for patient care.
  • Assist with authorization for ventilator referrals and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by AdaptHealth.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
  • Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch.
  • One year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities.
  • May be exposed to unsanitary conditions in some home settings.
  • Work environment may be stressful at times.
  • May be exposed to high crime areas within the service community.
