Join Our Team at Mission Regional Medical Center

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Mission Regional Medical Center, a 297-bed non-profit hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. As a Registered Nurse in our Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, direct and guide patient/family teaching, and lead the activities of other nursing personnel. You will be directly responsible and accountable for the care given to your assigned patients.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching
  • Lead the activities of other nursing personnel
  • Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current and valid state RN license
  • A current BLS certificate
  • A current ACLS certificate (preferred)
  • Previous acute care hospital experience (preferred)
  • Ventilator management experience (preferred)
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree (preferred)
