Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to develop and refine the skills necessary for a Pharmacist while pursuing a Pharmacy education. All responsibilities will be performed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process customer and prescription information, including refill requests, from clients and healthcare providers.
2. Accurately and efficiently fill customer prescriptions.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather necessary information regarding customers and prescriptions, addressing any issues that may arise.
4. Become proficient with Thrift Drug, Inc.'s computer systems to ensure accurate data entry for customer and prescription information.
5. Provide prompt service in the Pharmacy area by assisting customers and managing transactions.
6. Offer guidance to customers on health-related inquiries and provide healthcare advice.
7. Stay updated on over-the-counter medications.
8. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
9. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Pharmacy department.
10. Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and customer notifications.
11. Conduct quality assurance tasks in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
12. Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) and enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program are required.
An Ohio Pharmacy intern license is mandatory.
