Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Records Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the treatment coordinator. This position involves assisting with various tasks that involve both the treatment coordinator and patients, ensuring a friendly, professional, and positive contribution to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a trusting relationship with patients, delivering exceptional customer service to all individuals.
  • Perform X-Ray imaging, capture photographs, and fabricate retainers.
  • Collaborate with the Treatment Coordinator and the doctor to maintain accurate patient records and transcribe notes from the doctor effectively.
  • Ensure patient rooms are well-stocked, organized, and maintained in a clean and sterile condition, preparing all necessary equipment.
  • Be open to feedback and training from doctors and orthodontic assistants to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with orthodontics and the equipment utilized in the field.
  • Proactive and adaptable, demonstrating initiative in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively about techniques used in orthodontics.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
