Role Description: We are in search of a committed and skilled Clinical Psychologist to become a part of our team. The ideal candidate will focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for elderly patients, aiding them in navigating and overcoming mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and adjustments to life transitions. The Psychologist will work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of exceptional, patient-focused care.
Key Duties:
- Perform thorough psychological evaluations to assess the mental health requirements of older adults.
- Create and execute personalized treatment strategies utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed specifically for older patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to patient treatment.
- Track and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health issues and effective coping mechanisms.
- Maintain precise and current patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
- Stay informed about best practices and advancements in CBT and geriatric mental health care.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure as a Psychologist in the state of NY.
- In-depth understanding of the specific mental health needs of the elderly population.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
