Job Description

Venesco, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team providing care to active-duty service members and their dependents.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who serve our country. You will work closely with pharmacists, physicians, and other medical staff to provide patient care services, including greeting and receiving patients, preparing and maintaining records, and performing basic secretarial skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care services as directed by pharmacists, physicians, and other medical staff
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, including medication lists and treatment plans
  • Perform basic secretarial skills, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries
  • Work closely with pharmacists and other medical staff to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification
  • At least 12 months of experience in an inpatient or outpatient pharmacy setting
  • Board certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
