Job Summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bagging Associate. As a key member of our production team, you will assist designated machine operators in various functions, including maintenance, clean-up, yard work, warehouse, production, utilities, material handling, and other tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks in a repetitive and/or sequential order to complete assignments
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment
  • Report any unsafe conditions or defective equipment to the supervisor immediately
  • Clean and maintain machinery and conveyors, as well as the surrounding area
  • Transport trash and debris away from production areas
  • Responsible for keeping pallets neat and organized
  • Operate machinery and equipment as trained and instructed, following safety guidelines
  • Assist lead operators in preparing for shift production
  • Develop knowledge of machine mechanics and operation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
  • Ability to follow company production and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
  • Able to pass internal certification training
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide 10's and 100's
  • Must be able to demonstrate lock-out tag-out procedures and keep key lock with self at all times
  • Must attend weekly safety meetings
  • Ability to frequently stand on feet for extended periods and lift up to 80 lbs from ground level
