Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled individual for the role of Senior Analyst in Insurance Risk Modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and enhance insurance liability models utilizing GA Risk's liability modeling platform.
2. Effectively communicate findings and their implications to the Risk management team and relevant stakeholders.
3. Assist in the onboarding of various Institutional transactions into our Risk platform.
4. Conduct liability stress tests under multiple perspectives (GAAP/Stat/Econ/Bermuda) while comprehending both actuarial and market risks.
5. Support the launch of new products and ensure that risk models are consistently updated to reflect regular rate changes and new product features.
6. Perform validation and control reviews of actuarial and financial models, including evaluations of methodologies and assumptions utilized within the models.
7. Contribute to the development and application of quantitative models and analytical tools that empower the Risk function to provide constructive challenges to existing risk management, modeling, and pricing practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field is required; a Master's Degree in a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a diversified life and annuity/financial or actuarial consulting firm.
- Professional designation in financial risk management, such as FSA/ASA or CFA, is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience with insurance models, demonstrating a proven track record in modeling complex insurance products.
- Familiarity with insurance products (both life and annuities) is preferred.
- Previous experience in hedging or Asset Liability Management (ALM) is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in articulating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Applicants must possess work authorization that does not require future sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 — $114,000 USD.
