About the Role:

As a Multi-Unit Resource Nurse at UPMC Shadyside, you will be part of a highly trained and team-oriented group of nurses. This role provides ad hoc staffing solutions for nursing units that are reflective of their census and acuity at the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and patients.
  • Apply adult learning principles to educate patients, families, and staff.
  • Use the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to provide holistic patient care.

Requirements:

  • 6 months of RN experience is required, with ICU RN experience strongly preferred.
  • An Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN, or MSN is required.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide care and interact with all ages of patients.

What We Offer:

  • Up to five and a half weeks of Paid Time Off annually, plus seven paid holidays each year.
  • Tuition reimbursement of up to $6,000 per academic year at any accredited institution, available to employees and their dependents.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
