About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.

You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, develop and execute test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing automated testing frameworks and tools
  • Collaborating with development teams to identify and prioritize testing needs
  • Developing and executing test plans to ensure high-quality software solutions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components
  • Mentoring and training junior software engineers

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience with Java or Python
  • Experience testing APIs, both manually and programmatically
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining automated tests and frameworks using open-source tools and technologies
  • Experience managing test infrastructure and strategy
  • Project management skills and the ability to estimate scope, break down problems into deliverable chunks, and pivot when requirements change

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience working with developer-centric testing and monitoring tools such as Optimizely, DataDog, Splunk, Grafana, etc.
  • Experience working with integration and contract testing tools and frameworks such as PACT and/or Prism
  • Testing experience in scalability, performance, or security
  • Regular contributions to popular open-source projects (send us GitHub links)
