Job Overview

Empire Office is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in a hybrid role at our Milford, PA location. As a key member of our Accounting Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Close Process: Assist in the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations of general ledger accounts, and other financial documents to ensure the company's financial position is accurately reflected.
  • Daily Banking Tasks: Perform daily banking tasks and reporting to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze profit and loss statements to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Internal Reporting: Assist with monthly internal reporting on the company's financial position to inform business decisions.
  • Audit Support: Assist with interim, year-end, and ad-hoc audit requests to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Other Duties: Perform various other duties in support of the Accounting Department as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College degree with a major in Accounting.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of Accounting experience.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of GAAP, proficiency in Excel, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving/analytical skills.
  • Ability: Ability to manage deadlines and changing priorities.
