Position Overview:
American Foods Group, LLC is seeking a qualified Electrical Technician I to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Execute the installation of electrical wiring, devices, or fixtures in accordance with job specifications and relevant electrical standards, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures as necessary.


2. Conduct inspections and repairs on electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify potential hazards and defects, ensuring compliance with electrical regulations; maintain strict adherence to safety and lockout/tagout protocols.


3. Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components using diagnostic tools and hand tools to determine the cause of failures and implement corrective actions; ensure compliance with safety and lockout/tagout procedures.


4. Install or maintain electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment, including control circuits, variable speed drives, or programmable logic controllers, while following all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.


5. Perform testing of electrical systems or circuit continuity in wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or ammeters to ensure system compatibility and safety.


6. Modify, maintain, or repair electrical and electronic equipment or systems to guarantee optimal performance; ensure all safety and lockout/tagout procedures are observed.


7. Carry out electrical preventive maintenance and visual inspections for damage on equipment in designated areas; adhere to all safety and lockout/tagout protocols.


8. Work from ladders, scaffolds, or rooftops to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, devices, or fixtures.


Additional Responsibilities:
Advise management on potential hazards related to equipment operation.

Provide training to employees as necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

2. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

3. Possession of a State Electrician License.


4. Ability to work in various temperature conditions, including warm, hot, humid, cold, and wet environments, and navigate slippery surfaces at different heights while utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).

5. Willingness to work extended hours from Monday to Saturday, including overtime as required. Work hours may vary based on production demands.

6. Successful completion of required training programs, including:
- Safety
- Safe Quality Food (SQF)
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Food defense
- Lockout/Tagout
- OSHA 10-hour
- First aid
- Forklift operation
- Genie lift operation

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous leadership or management experience.

2. High school diploma or GED.

3. College education.

4. Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected facility.

5. Relevant production experience.

6. Recent work history.
