Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Bluffs Family Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist medical personnel with patient care and treatments, ensuring a safe and efficient clinical environment.
  • Order, assemble, and administer diagnostic and lab tests to patients, maintaining accurate records and results.
  • Welcome patients with a warm and professional demeanor, answering inquiries and providing examination gowns and drapes as needed.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room, arranging instruments and supplies.
  • Verify patient information by reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and confirming the purpose of the visit or treatment.
  • Support patient care delivery by assisting health care providers during examinations, preparing laboratory specimens, and performing basic laboratory tests.
  • Educate patients on medication and diet information, answering questions and providing instructions.
  • Complete records by documenting patient examination, treatment, and test results.
  • Generate revenues by recording billing information, completing insurance forms, and responding to third-party inquiries.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to professional standards and policies.
  • Enhance our healthcare practice reputation by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience with EMR systems
  • 1 year of experience with vital signs
  • 2 years of experience with phlebotomy
  • CMA Certification Required
