Job Title: Circulator Registered Nurse

Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center is seeking a skilled Circulator Registered Nurse to join our surgical services team in Lexington, KY. As a key member of the perioperative team, the Circulator Registered Nurse will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing anesthesia and/or sedation.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate complete nursing assessments and care for patients
  • Participate in patient and family teaching for assigned patients
  • Organize time, equipment, supplies, and personnel to provide effective and efficient case management
  • Supervise and direct patient care in a single operating room and two local procedure rooms
  • Delegates activities appropriate to the abilities of available staff members
  • Considers cost containment by using supplies economically and in effective turnover time
  • Assists with supply, drug, and equipment inventories to maintain stock level and availability
  • Transports patients to the operating room observing policies/procedures, safety requirements, and patient needs
  • Identifies the patient and correct surgical intervention according to policy/procedure and communicates such information to all members of the surgical team
  • Reviews patient's medical records/needs to plan care with other healthcare team members
