Job Summary

This position provides support to senior team members assisting in the management of a portfolio of distressed and stressed corporate, real estate, and project finance assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial statements and KPI reporting of guarantors and stressed and distressed borrowers, developing three-statement models and valuation models to structure workout strategies, and negotiating amendments, waivers, and restructuring proposals with borrowers, syndicate members, and other key creditors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements and KPI reporting of guarantors and stressed and distressed borrowers to identify potential risks and opportunities for recovery.
  • Model Development: Develop three-statement models and valuation models to structure workout strategies and determine the fulcrum position of borrowers.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Negotiate amendments, waivers, and restructuring proposals with borrowers, syndicate members, and other key creditors, and communicate the results to senior management.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of distressed and stressed assets, including debt and swap exposures, and develop strategies to maximize recoveries and minimize losses.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with internal business units, including origination, legal, compliance, operations, and credit, to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as accounting, finance, or credit.
  • Experience: 6 years of experience in credit training, financial analysis, or a related field, or 10 years of experience in a related field with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation.
