Position Summary:
The Audio Equipment Support Specialist is a skilled audio technician responsible for assisting in the effective setup and management of audio systems. This role involves the physical connection of audio devices, running signal cables, and supporting sound checks. The specialist will prepare and organize equipment for various events while ensuring proper storage and maintenance of audio gear. The individual must be proficient in troubleshooting audio equipment and promptly communicate any issues to the Head of Audio Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Audio Operations with various tasks and equipment management.
- Run signal cables and establish physical connections for audio systems.
- Ensure the safe and organized storage of all audio equipment.
- Effectively communicate with team members regarding audio setups.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Understanding of Gain Staging principles.
- Familiarity with Signal Flow concepts.
- Knowledge of both analog and digital mixing consoles.
- Experience with various amplifier and speaker models.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with L'Acoustics speaker systems.
- Experience with rigging motors is preferred.
- Certification for operating fork and scissor lifts is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Capability to stand and maintain mobility for extended periods, up to eight (8) hours.
- Able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperature conditions and high noise environments.
