Assistant Professor of Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified candidate for an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry position.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general adult psychiatric clinical services to the Medical Center, including inpatient and outpatient work.
  • Participate in supervision and training of psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • May be required to provide services in person, through telemedicine, embedded in other UVA clinics or in other affiliated sites, cover call for nights and weekends, and/or backup calls for psychiatry service.
Qualifications:
  • Must have an MD, DO, or equivalent and be board-eligible in Psychiatry by the start date of the position.
  • Strongly encouraged to apply are candidates having completed fellowship training in areas of geriatric psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, and/or addiction psychiatry/medicine.
