X-Ray Tech PRN Job Description

Lakewood Surgery Center is seeking a skilled X-Ray Tech PRN to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of specialized physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of patients
  • Position patients for each anatomical view specified, using immobilization and protective devices as required
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physicians with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies
  • Record and label film with identifying information, and sort as required
  • Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality
  • Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology
  • 1-2 years of experience in C-Arm and Portable x-rays in operating room setting
  • ARRT Registered, State MRT and CPR Current
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations
  • Must possess independent decision making skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families
