Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Speedway. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our physical structures, equipment, and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and prioritize daily duties and work assignments to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Complete required reports and paperwork to account for time and materials used.
- Inspect and diagnose equipment to determine if servicing or further action is required.
- Perform preventative and basic maintenance tasks on structures and equipment, including dispensers, point of sale systems, computers, security equipment, and more.
- Read and follow procedures described in service manuals to ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Calibrate pumps and equipment to meet legal standards.
- Keep company vehicles in safe and orderly condition, including scheduling maintenance and securing equipment.
- Recommend outside contractors when necessary and assist in correcting maintenance problems as directed.
- Attend training classes to learn maintenance procedures for specific equipment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations by completing required trainings and obtaining necessary certifications.
- Provide equipment/system training and instruction to company personnel to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Test tanks and lines and assist in investigating suspected UST system failures as required.
- Work safely in various weather conditions and complete other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completes and maintains required state-specific competency training and testing for Class "B" UST System Operator Certification.
- Experience performing maintenance-related tasks, preferably with pumps and dispensers.
- Experience in a skill trade area (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to research and resolve issues.
- Ability to lift equipment and access covers weighing over 125 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, crawl in access areas, and assemble/disassemble mechanical parts.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Available 24/7 on an on-call emergency basis.
- Complies with all applicable state and federal DOT rules and regulations.
