Child Psychologist

Position Summary:
As a Mental Health Specialist, you will perform evaluations, deliver diagnoses, implement interventions, and provide crisis management for individuals with a variety of mental health challenges. You will work in conjunction with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary teams to tailor treatment plans for each client.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and evaluate treatment plans for clients facing mental health challenges. Conduct therapy sessions and provide advice to patients and their families regarding adherence to treatment and medication management. Offer therapeutic assistance and may lead educational sessions.
- Perform psychological evaluations and collaborate with medical practitioners on medication assessments. Utilize community resources to improve treatment results. Provide guidance to healthcare professionals on mental health issues. Supervise mental health interns as necessary.
- Oversee clinical personnel as needed. Provide family support and educate on treatment approaches. Facilitate referrals to outside resources. Contribute to program improvement and safety reporting.
Serve as a therapist for child and family units. Conduct individual, family, and group therapy, along with case management. Flexible scheduling may be required.
Qualifications:- Doctorate in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited institution. Must secure Psychologist License (California) within six months of hire. Possess a National Provider Identifier.
- Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnostic purposes. Competence in evidence-based practices, psychotherapy research, and mental health bio-psycho-social dynamics. Proficient in diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy. Strong ethical standards, teamwork capabilities, and multitasking skills.
- Understanding of social service organizations, state regulations, APA standards regarding client care, and patient confidentiality. Experience in psychological assessment, crisis management, and therapy. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Must fulfill licensing criteria.
- Experience in crisis management and psychotherapy. Proficiency in psychological assessments for diverse age groups. Proven dedication to quality service, collaboration, and professional ethics. Skilled in multitasking, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
