Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and child members. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each member.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for adult and child members.
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to members with a range of mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatric professionals, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement behavioral medicine and health psychology programs in various settings, including primary care.
  • Provide consultation to other care providers and health educators on matters related to mental health, health psychology, and behavioral medicine.
Requirements
  • PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Current valid license to practice psychology in the State of California or a valid license to practice in a state in the United States and able to practice under Business and Professional Code Section 2946.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V and experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership and participate in the department on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families, including administering and writing up psychological testing and assessment batteries.
