Position Summary:

We are in search of a dependable and proactive Nutritional Culinary Specialist who is adept at meal preparation and enhancing the dining experience for our residents. If you possess a genuine enthusiasm for cooking and thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere, this role may be an excellent fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary needs of long-term care residents.
  • Ensure timely meal preparation and present dishes in an attractive manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining environment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols to guarantee food quality and resident safety.
  • Assist in meal planning and managing kitchen inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a pleasant dining atmosphere for residents.

Work Schedule:

  • Includes shifts every other weekend and alternating Fridays and Mondays.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a cook, ideally in a long-term care or similar environment.
  • Ability to accurately follow and execute recipes.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Dependable and punctual with a solid work ethic.
  • Capable of following instructions and working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations pertinent to food preparation.
