Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Helio Health. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services by collecting and processing patient data, managing medical records, and facilitating communication with insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process patient data, including insurance information and medical records
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Communicate with patients, insurance providers, and other stakeholders to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Process and manage cash receipts, co-pays, and other forms of payment
  • Assist patients with Medicaid applications and other forms of insurance
  • Utilize our HIT system to enter and manage billing information
  • Work with patients, insurance providers, and other stakeholders to resolve claims and billing issues
  • Prepare and submit reports on Medicaid billing and other financial data
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and third-party claim procedures
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience in accounts receivable and medical records management
