Position Summary:
In this role, you will assist in the execution of financial, compliance, and operational audits. Your responsibilities will include evaluating internal controls and ensuring that various departments adhere to established policies and procedures. You will review specific segments of audit programs, assess compliance, recommend corrective actions, and prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of financial, management, and administrative processes across assigned divisions and departments to verify compliance with internal policies. This will involve interviewing personnel, performing tests, assessing internal controls, and analyzing documentation to support your conclusions.
  • Generate thorough reports for each audit, highlighting findings and offering recommendations for addressing any identified deficiencies. You will also conduct follow-up testing on corrective actions implemented.
  • Undertake special audit projects as requested by management, aimed at identifying controls to prevent fraud. Prepare reports detailing findings and suggestions for management review.
  • Collaborate with fellow auditors to enhance overall audit efficiency and minimize disruption to corporate personnel.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, including at least 12 credit hours in accounting.
Experience:
  • No prior work experience is necessary.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Understanding of auditing principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and draw relevant conclusions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are advantageous.
