At Nava Healthcare Recruiting, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a per diem (as needed) position offering flexibility in work hours and scheduling.

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population.

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for patients of all ages.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding speech and language conditions and treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatments, and evaluations in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions to contribute to patient care plans.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alabama.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) preferred.
  • Previous experience as an SLP in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to varying patient needs.
  • CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
