Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is a critical member of our diagnostic imaging team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety in the MRI department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare patient orders, positioning, and performing MRI imaging procedures with precision and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of MRI/MRA clinical indicators and adjust scanning protocols as needed to produce diagnostic images.
  • Collaborate with MRI leadership and radiologists to optimize imaging protocols and produce high-quality images.
  • Administer contrast media as required for diagnostic protocols.
  • Assist physicians and APPs with MRI-guided invasive procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program preferred.
  • Advanced certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT; or MRI Registry-eligible with certification within one year of hire.
  • Maintain Continuing Education credits (24 CEU in two years) and other requirements to maintain ARRT certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year MRI experience preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture.
  • Ability to set up and operate MRI equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
