Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist is responsible for reviewing physician orders and preparing patients for MRI imaging. This role requires advanced knowledge of MRI/MRA and related clinical indicators, as well as the ability to adjust scanning protocols based on anatomy and physiology. The successful candidate will work closely with MRI leadership and radiologists to produce diagnostic images and administer contrast media as needed. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, requiring a high level of independence and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review physician orders and prepare patients for MRI imaging
  • Operate MRI equipment and adjust scanning protocols as needed
  • Administer contrast media and assist with MRI-guided invasive procedures
  • Work closely with MRI leadership and radiologists to produce diagnostic images
  • Maintain continuing education credits and certification requirements

Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program
  • Advanced certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • One year of MRI experience preferred
  • Good working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and proficiency in venipuncture
