Overview:


The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting financial strategy and budgeting initiatives, contributing to the formulation of financial plans and evaluating financial performance against established benchmarks.

This role involves delivering analytical insights to both administrative and managerial personnel within the organization.

The specialist is tasked with enhancing financial and operational efficiency by pinpointing opportunities for improvement through comprehensive analysis of financial models.

This position provides essential financial support to management, encompassing the analysis of departmental performance, financial statements, the creation of detailed and actionable reports, and the presentation of critical information for informed decision-making.

Additional responsibilities include conducting ad hoc financial and operational analyses for special projects, preparing financial forecasts and budgets, and investigating and clarifying financial performance metrics.

The ideal candidate will preferably reside within the designated geographical footprint.

Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Collaborates on financial planning and budgeting processes, working closely with operational leaders to develop financial strategies.
  • Evaluates financial statements and data, presenting findings through detailed reports and visual representations.
  • Assesses operational results and collaborates with leadership to identify key performance drivers.
  • Conducts variance analysis and prepares comprehensive explanations.
  • Compiles and synthesizes data to construct robust financial models and forecasts.
  • Utilizes data-driven insights to generate solutions and make independent decisions.
  • Communicates findings to leadership and provides recommendations based on financial and business outcomes.
  • Understands critical business drivers and metrics, offering financial guidance based on analytical assessments.
  • Facilitates the dissemination of relevant financial and operational information by initiating actionable analyses to support management decisions.
  • Analyzes discrepancies through benchmarking and process evaluations.
  • Applies cost accounting principles to project future trends and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Maintains proficiency in financial technology systems and data sources to efficiently extract and manage information.
  • Focuses on process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Undertakes additional tasks as directed by Finance leadership.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, analytics, or accounting-related fields.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and recommendations clearly.
  • Strong analytical mindset and pragmatic approach.
