Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at New England Life Care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients and assisting pharmacists in the preparation of sterile infusion medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to patients, including preparing sterile infusion medications and conducting quality assurance activities.
  • Learn and maintain aseptic technique in the clean room environment, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Accurately prepare intravenous solutions and admixtures, label, package, and store products for shipment to patients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy and clean room environment, adhering to NELC policies and procedures.
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly quality assurance activities, including temperature monitoring of product environments.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification/Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician, as required by state-specific Board of Pharmacy regulations, within one year of hire date.
  • Ability to perform accurate dosage calculations for various prescriptions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of microcomputer systems, such as Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience
  • One year of experience in IV admixtures using an IV laminar flow hood in a hospital or homecare setting.
