About the Job

We are seeking a talented Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Optum in Kirkland, WA. As a member of our Behavioral Care Team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional behavioral and mental health treatments to patients with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with patients and external providers to develop personalized treatment plans that meet their evolving needs.
  • Conduct Outpatient Evaluations: Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Mentor Graduate Students: Participate in enriching the training experience of our graduate students and contribute to the development of industry best practices.
  • Assess and Treat Patients: Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders using evidence-based methods and provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as intensive outpatient programs.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field.
  • A clear, active, and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LPC) in the state of practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of professional social work or clinical experience post-Master's degree.
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
  • Proficiency in working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs).
  • A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and performance. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility requirements).
