Senior Product Owner

Our client, a leading organization in Atlanta, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Owner to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a duration of 6+ months, working on-site 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT teams and internal business partners to determine the best solutions by researching alternatives, performing functional analysis, and designing/implementing business transformation projects.
  • Communicate effectively with business partners, IT teams, and leadership on status, risks, and roadblocks, and aid team members to overcome obstacles by working collaboratively.
  • Serve as the SME for planning and managing the implementation of a decided upon solution, including any required integrations.
  • Execute against a prioritized backlog to deliver highest value initiatives aligned with business strategies.
  • Develop knowledge of supported business processes and system configuration to support, optimize, and transform processes across the business partners.
  • Actively participate in sprint activities to ensure development team alignment.
  • Champion user-centric products, advocating for their needs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to validate product functionality and quality.
  • Manage product backlogs, defining and prioritizing user stories to maximize business value.
  • Ensure data confidence and reliability through data quality standards, controls, and monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in all stages of the data product management lifecycle, with strong analytic and critical thinking skills to represent both business and technical needs.
  • Experience understanding and diagraming complex business processes, gathering functional requirements, providing support and guidance to internal IT teams and external vendors as they develop technical solutions.
  • Ability to guide stakeholders through problem definition, requirements gathering, and implementation.
  • Knowledge of asset maintenance and reliability processes and how they integrate with data analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and best practices, particularly as they apply to manufacturing and asset management systems.
