We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in the Austin Market Float Pool. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegated to non-licensed personnel on the team.
- Administer medications, complete treatments, and provide educational materials to patients and families.
- Review new physician orders, ensure accurate documentation, and notify the Charge Nurse and/or physician of changes in patient status.
- Provide accurate and relevant patient information reports to the on-coming shift to ensure continuity of care.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience as an RN in the Emergency Department setting
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) OR Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENCP) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy required within 12 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Certification per St. David's Healthcare policy within 60 days of hire
