Patient Transporter Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at Crothall Healthcare. As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out the essential duties of the position.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, and reception and dispatch.
  • Ensure the comfort of the patient by being attentive and offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in appropriate conversation.
  • Alert nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
  • Maintain equipment and report equipment needing repairs.
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Willing to train.
