Nexamp is seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Project Manager to join our Supply Chain team. As a key member of our team, you will lead and manage a group of Sourcing Specialists who drive product material cost savings roadmaps during the project acquisition phase. You will work closely with other functional representatives from Business Development, Construction, Commodity Management, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to ensure our supply base effectively serves internal and external customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute multiple project timelines within assigned regions related to suppliers on cost/delivery/service performance from preconstruction to PTO.
  • Provide direction from quotation analysis prepared by Sourcing Specialists, utilizing total cost of ownership (TCO) tools and should cost of parts, components, etc.
  • Aid and provide input to Category Managers in supplier selection during development of new technology roadmaps or innovation groups required for new or existing products.
  • Aid and provide input to Category Managers in allocation/forecasting of equipment demands related to each strategic category.
  • Manage multiple equipment lists within assigned regional project portfolio for completeness, material readiness, and adherence to milestones throughout.
  • Responsible for managing a team of specialists that execute orders for equipment for projects and obtaining engineering approvals, logistics, and shipment to site for assigned projects.
  • Support price negotiations related to material project costs within portfolio.
  • Own project equipment budget tracking consisting of costs related to equipment within assigned portfolio.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in supplier quality/management, commodity management, materials management, procurement, project management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing techniques including strategic supplier concepts.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Understanding of inventory management requirements.
  • ERP knowledge and experience e.g. SAP, Oracle, JDE, Baan, Visual, etc.
  • Continuous improvement, Six Sigma concepts & methodologies, and work experience as a leader with excellent negotiation skills, preferred.

  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across organization.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across industry.
  • Eagerness to develop fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
