About the Role

The Surgical Technologist II plays a vital role in the operating room, assisting the surgical team in providing high-quality patient care. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including setting up equipment and ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including handing instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room, including disposing of waste and restocking supplies.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or equivalent.
