Job Summary

The Fitness Trainer will be responsible for leading the Planet Fitness group fitness program. This includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing a workout program and instructing them on equipment usage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and manage the Planet Fitness group fitness program, including creating and following a schedule.
  • Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and provide guidance on equipment usage.
  • Develop bi-weekly updates featuring a variety of exercises.
  • Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
  • Assist with front desk activities, including:
    • Providing excellent customer service and responding to member inquiries.
    • Checking members into the system.
    • Signing up new members.
    • Conducting tours for prospective members.
Requirements
  • A passion for fitness and health.
  • An upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Nationally Certified Training Certificate.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands
  • Continual standing and walking during shifts.
  • Continual talking in person or on the phone during shifts.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
  • Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals.
