Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Test Technician Lead to join our team at Meggitt. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for executing schedules, facilitating job assignment, employee training, and maintaining inventory of shop supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute schedules and facilitate job assignment to ensure efficient production operations
  • Provide employee training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Maintain inventory of shop supplies and order consumable items as required
  • Perform hands-on work in the Production Test area as needed
  • Track status of work-in-process and first pass yields
  • Ensure safe work practices and work areas, and maintain good housekeeping (6S)
  • Monitor assigned work in process, including First Article verification, building maintenance, and general housekeeping (6S)
  • Verify that all appropriate tooling and documents are available at the Test stations
  • Maintain productivity, quality, and overall performance of Test operations
  • Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks
  • Ensure timely processing of in-process inspection work
  • Document and report all test failures to your Manager, QE, and ME
  • Respond to Internal Corrective Actions Requests related to your assigned area of responsibility
  • Train test personnel as required

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent in Electronics Technology
  • 5+ years related experience and/or training in Environmental, RF, Microwave, and RADAR compliance testing
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, test and operating instructions, and safety procedures
  • Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to exercise discretion and pay close attention to detail

Working Conditions:

  • Work area subject to both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned environments
  • Ability to frequently or constantly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally exert up to 40 pounds of force to move/lift objects
  • Ability to work in a moderate noise level environment
