Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist to join their team in Fort Worth, Texas.

Job Summary

This position is accountable for performing quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging through the application of advanced technical knowledge while maintaining strict attention to patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and be able to provide expertise for all ages from neonatal/newborn to adults.

The patient acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to ensure accurate and high-quality images
  • Maintain strict attention to patient care and safety
  • Provide expertise for all ages from neonatal/newborn to adults
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with critical care situations
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiological Technology
  • 2-3 years MRI experience preferred, pediatric experience is desirable
  • Possess a level of clinical expertise and competency in cross-sectional anatomy
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to handle critical care situations which can create a high level of stress
Certifications/Licenses
  • Must have one of the following: ARRT (RT) (MRI) - requires TMB Licensure within 90 days, ARRT (MR) - TMB not required, or ARMRIT - TMB not required
  • Requires BLS Certification upon hire
