About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our team at Sam's Club. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality mobile applications using React Native.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to develop high-quality iOS mobile applications using React Native.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for frontend components, ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with the design team to implement pixel-perfect UI/UX designs and ensure a consistent user experience across all devices.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues related to the frontend of the application.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in mobile application development and bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize feature requirements and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Front-End Engineer with a focus on iOS mobile applications using React Native.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React Native, and related frameworks/libraries such as Redux(with Thunk or Saga), React hooks and function components, Immer, Axios, Formik, React Spring, and Storybook.
  • Experience with iOS development, including knowledge of Objective-C and/or Swift, is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app development principles, including responsive design, performance optimization, and mobile-specific considerations.
  • Understanding of native iOS and Android integrations with React Native.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or Graph QL to integrate with backend services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with code versioning tools, specifically Git.
  • Familiarity with analytics and monitoring tools like Quantum Metrics, Grafana Azure App Insights, etc.
