Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will operate radiographic equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and evaluate radiographs for technical quality. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses, enabling our healthcare team to provide effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, families, and healthcare teams, demonstrating a commitment to empathy, respect, and professionalism.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Operate radiographic equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and evaluate radiographs for technical quality, ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas in accordance with department guidelines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear and concise information about procedures, results, and treatment plans.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies, techniques, and best practices, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field preferred.
  • Certification: Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) in the state of California; certification in fluoroscopy and mammography preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a radiologic technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting; experience with fluoroscopy and mammography preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Certification: Certification in mammography or other specialized imaging modalities.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a focus on quality improvement, patient safety, and staff development.
