About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for analyzing dental experience to support forecasting, reserving, fee development, regulatory requirements and financial reporting.


Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive analysis ranging from client-specific to global using experience from the largest, most complex datasets.
  • Conducts analysis, pricing and risk management to estimate financial outcomes using actuarial modeling.
  • Guides and mentors analysts.
  • Provides review of analyses developed by Actuarial Analysts.
  • Prepares and presents documents to support analysis to internal and external customers.
  • Supports fellow actuarial team members through peer review process.
  • Advises and provides guidance on actuarial reporting to internal and external customers.

Salary Information

The national base pay range for this role is $80,500 - $174,300. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of analyzing actuarial data with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Candidates with proven related experience may be considered for this position.
  • SQL skills preferred.
  • MS suite skills in Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Intermediate communication skills, written and verbal, are required.
  • Strong organization, time and project management skills and multi-tasking capabilities are required.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics and statistical applications is required.
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
