Position Overview:
Mead & Hunt, a well-respected professional services consulting firm, is in search of a skilled civil engineer to become a part of our dynamic and innovative aviation team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting analysis and preparing engineering design documentation, specifications, construction cost estimates, and plans for various airport infrastructure projects.
- Utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D for drafting tasks to create detailed plan sheets.
- Supporting construction administration activities, which may involve fieldwork at project sites during weekends and evenings as necessary.
- Interpreting and applying FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports, and survey data in project designs.
Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be necessary.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience.
- A PE license in any state, with the capability to obtain a Washington or Oregon PE license within one year of employment.
Preferred Experience:
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in:
- Designing pavements, grading, and drainage systems.
- Utilizing AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D software.
- Construction administration processes.
- Creating design reports and technical specifications.
