Chef Sous

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Sous to join our team at UHS. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the overall kitchen operation, ensuring that our patients, families, and staff receive exceptional dietary services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate large functions and events, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality food service.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and interact effectively with patients, families, and coworkers, adhering to our service excellence standards.
• Provide dietary services, including meal planning, preparation, and presentation, to meet the diverse needs of our patients and staff.
• Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement innovative menu ideas and culinary programs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Food Management or Culinary Services preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a large Food Service facility, with some management experience preferred.
• Food Handler's permit within 60 days of hire.
• Certified Chef preferred.
• Current valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and write English, communicate effectively, and record documentation legibly.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft applications.
