Job Summary

The Banking and International Risk Issues Management Senior Officer is a strategic professional responsible for managing and mitigating risks associated with international banking operations. This role requires excellent communication and diplomacy skills to negotiate with internal stakeholders and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze BIR Issues Management related to issue identification, root cause analysis, remediation, closure, monitoring, reporting, and escalation to ensure comprehensive and timely issue resolution.
  • Communicate risk and control environment to senior management through regular meetings and presentations.
  • Partner with issue owners to recommend corrective actions and provide guidance on issue management and escalation policies.
  • Develop approaches for addressing emerging issues with cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings with multiple levels of management to drive remediations and track progress.
  • Lead individual workstreams and ensure completion of assigned tasks, escalating challenges and producing relevant presentations.
  • Recommend updates to BIR partners to maintain a robust Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) in compliance with Citi Operational Risk Policy.
  • Lead or participate in enhancement and transformation initiatives to remediate identified gaps.
  • Act as a subject matter expert providing support to stakeholders and control functions on an ad-hoc basis.
Requirements

This role requires a degree of responsibility over technical strategy and the ability to assess risk when making business decisions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and diplomacy skills, as well as the ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders and external customers.
