About this role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Auditor II to join our Internal Audit team at CarMax. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of our audit plan, focusing on risk-based audits and reviews of financial, operational, and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of risk-based audits and reviews of internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance processes
  • Assist in the design and execution of audit procedures to assess financial, operational, and compliance risks
  • Provide innovative and value-add insights to drive improved process efficiency and effectiveness for the Company and in the department's audit processes
  • Collaborate with management and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement effective controls
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 2+ years of audit experience in an internal audit or other risk/compliance/consulting function
  • Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience with risk assessment, internal controls, and financial reporting processes
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
