Job Title: Central North Region CNC Machine Specialist

Are you a skilled mechanical engineer looking for a challenging role? Do you have experience with CNC machines and a passion for manufacturing?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Central North Region CNC Machine Specialist. As a key member of our applications engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, sales teams, and trade shows for CNC machines.

Your primary duties will include:
  • Providing technical assistance and guidance to customers and internal teams on CNC machine operations and maintenance.
  • Developing and delivering training programs for senior colleagues, internal academy, and external resources.
  • Compiling fixtures and work holding devices for demos, test cuts, and turnkey projects.
  • Conducting time estimates for customer parts and calculating optimal speeds and feeds for part processing.
  • Using CAPPS conversational programming, industry-standard CAM systems, and direct G-Code/Macro programming to generate CNC programs for parts processing.
  • Setting up CNC machines with programs, tooling, workpieces, and fixtures.
  • Inspecting finished parts for quality and accuracy.
  • Generating engineering reports and technical documentation.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, reading drawings, and machine setup.
  • Basic understanding of metallurgy.
  • Proven experience communicating professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Proven flexibility with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week and overtime with advance notice.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.
