About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a member of our emergency medicine department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage ED patients from initial presentation through disposition decision.
- Perform complete patient history and physical examination; order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests, standardized radiological studies, and initiate treatment.
- Deliver direct patient care, including routine or emergency procedures such as slit lamp exams, wound repair, abscess drainage, nasogastric tube insertion, and arterial blood sampling.
- Stay current with continuing medical education requirements and participate in training and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Completion of a NYS-approved program for training of physician assistant.
- Registration with New York State as a Physician Assistant.
- Certification with National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
