We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at New York University. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, painting interior and exterior of buildings, and performing drywall repair/replacement using a variety of equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in an environment subject to frequently changing priorities.
Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for painting and paint interior and exterior of buildings
* Perform drywall repair/replacement using a variety of equipment
* Create color samples to determine proper matching of colors and mix paints per paint codes
* Finish surfaces using sandpaper, pumice, wax, and other materials
Requirements
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Four years of experience as a skilled painter
* Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to frequently changing priorities
* Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and physically cope with extreme weather conditions
