We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook I to join our culinary team at The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including breads and pastries, to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

• Prepare doughs and fillings, proof, bake, and decorate pastries as required
• Review production sheets to understand daily baked goods requirements
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
• Assist in planning daily specials and ensure excess food items are utilized efficiently
• Operate baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances safely and effectively
• Ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
• Monitor food quality and portions served throughout the shift

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
